FHAAR is the local REALTOR® association for the Killeen–Fort Cavazos market and one of five shareholder associations behind CTXMLS. Texas Ally is a member broker, which makes it one of the local boards our agents can choose to join.
What FHAAR Is
The Fort Hood Area Association of REALTORS® is the local REALTOR® association for the military communities around Fort Cavazos — Killeen, Harker Heights, Copperas Cove and Nolanville. It serves licensed Texas REALTORS® across Bell, Coryell and Lampasas counties and is affiliated with Texas REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.
This is a market with a rhythm of its own. PCS cycles, VA financing and a steady flow of military families in and out of the area make it unlike almost anywhere else in Texas, and FHAAR’s education and broker programming reflects that.
Until 2017 the association operated its own MLS covering the Killeen, Harker Heights, Copperas Cove and Nolanville area. It then voted to join CTXMLS, and is today one of five shareholder associations that jointly own it.

FHAAR is based in Killeen and serves Bell, Coryell and Lampasas counties. Through CTXMLS, membership reaches considerably further across Central Texas.

CTXMLS (Central Texas MLS)
FHAAR no longer runs its own MLS. It is one of five REALTOR® associations that jointly own CTXMLS, which is why a Fort Hood Area membership reaches well beyond the Killeen market.
What It Covers
CTXMLS spans a broad stretch of Central Texas — Bell, Coryell, Lampasas, Milam, Williamson and Victoria counties among others, taking in Killeen, Temple, Belton, Georgetown, Round Rock and Victoria. It carries over 7,700 subscribers.
Who Owns It
Five shareholder associations: Fort Hood Area Association of REALTORS®, Temple-Belton Board of REALTORS®, Four Rivers Association of REALTORS®, Five Points Board of REALTORS® and Victoria Area Association of REALTORS®.
How You Get In
You join CTXMLS through a shareholder association rather than directly. Joining FHAAR is one of the five routes in, and the natural one if the Fort Cavazos corridor is your market.

REALTOR® Standing & the Code of Ethics
FHAAR membership is what lets you use the REALTOR® trademark and operate under the NAR Code of Ethics — the standard that separates professional REALTORS® from the general pool of licensees. Membership flows through to Texas REALTORS® and NAR.
MLS Access
The practical reason most agents join. One membership puts your listings in front of every subscriber on CTXMLS (Central Texas MLS) and gives you access to the shared inventory across its footprint.
Education & CE
The board runs education and continuing-education programming locally, tuned to the market you actually work rather than to a generic statewide syllabus.

FHAAR represents local property owners and agents, with Texas REALTORS® and NAR behind it at state and national level.
What FHAAR Membership Looks Like for a TA Agent
Every Texas Ally agent joins a local REALTOR® board of their own choice — the brokerage cannot join for you, and different territories call for different boards. We are a member broker, which makes FHAAR available as one of your options. Here is how it works if you pick it.
If you choose FHAAR as your local board
- You apply to FHAAR directly under our brokerage sponsorship — that is what unlocks your ability to list and sell through CTXMLS (Central Texas MLS).
- You pay board and MLS dues straight to the board. Texas Ally does not mark them up, administer them, or take a cut.
- Your commission arrangement with us is unchanged: 100% to you, a flat $99 a month, and flat transaction fees.
- If your business later moves to another part of Texas, you can change or add boards without changing brokerage — we are member brokers at the major Texas associations.

Texas Ally is a FHAAR member broker. If you are a licensed Texas agent and FHAAR is the right fit for your market, we will sponsor you there. If another board fits better, we can sponsor you there too — we are member brokers at all the major Texas associations. Either way, you keep 100% of your commissions. Can Texas Ally sponsor my FHAAR membership?
Yes. Texas Ally is a FHAAR member broker, which is the prerequisite that lets our agents join. Once you are sponsored at Texas Ally, you apply to FHAAR directly and pay dues to them. We do not mark up or administer those fees.
Do I have to join FHAAR specifically if I work with Texas Ally?
No. Every agent picks the local board that fits their market. FHAAR makes sense if you are working Central Texas. If you are mostly elsewhere in Texas, another board will serve you better — and we are member brokers at those too.
What MLS do I get with an FHAAR membership?
CTXMLS, the Central Texas MLS. FHAAR is one of five associations that jointly own it, so your membership reaches across the shared CTXMLS footprint rather than just the Killeen area.
How much are FHAAR dues?
The board sets and collects its own dues, and they change year to year, so they are the only reliable source. Contact them directly on (254) 634-4412 or at fhaar.org for current figures. Whatever they are, they are paid to the board — not to us.
Is this board a good fit if I work with military clients?
It is the obvious one. The association exists to serve the Fort Cavazos market, so its education and local knowledge are built around VA financing, PCS timelines and the relocation cycle.
