What are TBBOR membership dues?

REALTOR® dues come in three parts: National Association of REALTORS® dues, Texas REALTORS® state dues, and TBBOR's own local dues. MLS access is billed separately from all three. The national and state portions are the same for every Texas agent; only the local portion varies by board, and every part is reset annually — so check TBBOR directly for this year's figures.

What MLS does TBBOR use?

TBBOR members access Central Texas MLS for Temple–Belton-area listings.

Do I have to join TBBOR to sell real estate in Temple–Belton?

No — board membership is not required for your license, but it is required for MLS access and to use the REALTOR® designation. Most active Temple–Belton agents join for the MLS.

Can I keep 100% commission and be a TBBOR member?

Yes. Your board and your brokerage are separate: Texas Ally sponsors you as your broker on a flat $99 a month, and you join TBBOR for MLS access.

About the Board

What TBBOR Is

The Temple-Belton Board of REALTORS® is the local REALTOR® association for the Temple–Belton corridor and the surrounding Bell County market. It is a non-profit trade association serving roughly 900 REALTOR® and Affiliate members, and it is affiliated with Texas REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.

TBBOR has been serving the area since 1947 — it marks its 80th anniversary in 2026 — which makes it one of the longer-established boards in Central Texas. Alongside membership and education, the board is one of five shareholder associations that jointly own and operate CTXMLS, the Central Texas MLS.

It is a smaller board than the metro associations, and that is largely the point: for agents working Temple, Belton and the communities around them, it is the association closest to the market they actually serve.

TBBOR does not run its own MLS. It is one of five REALTOR® associations that jointly own CTXMLS, which is why a Temple-Belton membership reaches well beyond Bell County.

What It Covers

CTXMLS is the shared MLS for a broad stretch of Central Texas, taking in the Temple–Belton and Fort Hood areas and extending south and east through the other shareholder associations' territories.

Who Owns It

Five shareholder associations: Temple-Belton Board of REALTORS®, Fort Hood Area Association of REALTORS®, Four Rivers Association of REALTORS®, Five Points Board of REALTORS® and Victoria Area Association of REALTORS®.

How You Get In

You join CTXMLS through a shareholder association rather than directly. Joining TBBOR is one of the five routes in — which is what makes the board worth considering if Central Texas is your market.

What TBBOR Membership Looks Like for a TA Agent

Every Texas Ally agent joins a local REALTOR® board of their own choice — the brokerage cannot join for you, and different territories call for different boards. We are a member broker, which makes Temple-Belton available as one of your options. Here is how it works if you pick it.

If you choose TBBOR as your local board

You apply to TBBOR directly under our brokerage sponsorship — that is what unlocks your ability to list and sell through CTXMLS.
You pay board and MLS dues straight to TBBOR and CTXMLS. Texas Ally does not mark them up, administer them, or take a cut.
Your commission arrangement with us is unchanged: 100% to you, a flat $99 a month, and flat transaction fees.
If your business later moves toward Austin, Waco or elsewhere, you can change or add boards without changing brokerage — we are member brokers at the major Texas associations.

Can Texas Ally sponsor my TBBOR membership?

Yes. Texas Ally is a Temple-Belton member broker, which is the prerequisite that lets our agents join the board. Once you are sponsored at Texas Ally, you apply to TBBOR directly and pay dues to the board. We do not mark up or administer those fees.

Do I have to join TBBOR specifically if I work with Texas Ally?

No. Every agent picks the local board that fits their market. TBBOR makes sense if you are working Temple, Belton and Bell County. If you are mostly in Austin, Dallas, Houston or elsewhere, another board will serve you better — and we are member brokers at those too.

What MLS do I get with a TBBOR membership?

CTXMLS, the Central Texas MLS. TBBOR is one of five associations that jointly own it, so a Temple-Belton membership gives you access across the shared CTXMLS footprint rather than just Bell County.

How much are TBBOR dues?

Can I belong to TBBOR and another board at the same time?

Yes. Agents working across Central Texas often hold more than one membership, particularly where two markets use different MLSs. You pay each board separately; your arrangement with Texas Ally does not change either way.
