ARBoR has served the mid-cities since 1949 and now covers three counties from two offices, with NTREIS as its MLS. Texas Ally is a member broker, which makes Arlington one of the local boards our agents can choose to join.
What ARBoR Is
The Arlington Board of REALTORS® is the local REALTOR® association for Arlington and the surrounding mid-cities, and it is considerably larger than its name suggests. ARBoR serves more than 3,000 REALTOR® and Affiliate members across Tarrant, Ellis and Hill counties, operating out of two offices — one in Arlington and one in Waxahachie.
The board was founded in 1949, which puts it among the older associations in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. It is affiliated with Texas REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®.
For MLS purposes ARBoR members are on NTREIS, the shared North Texas MLS — the same system used across the Metroplex. That is the practical detail most agents care about: an ARBoR membership does not box you into Arlington.
Arlington, the Mid-Cities & the Ellis–Hill Corridor
ARBoR is headquartered in Arlington with a second office in Waxahachie, and its territory runs south out of Tarrant County through Ellis and Hill. Through NTREIS, membership reaches across the whole Metroplex.

NTREIS (North Texas Real Estate Information Systems)
ARBoR does not run a standalone MLS. Its members subscribe to NTREIS, the large shared MLS that covers North Texas — which is why an Arlington membership carries so much further than the city limits.
What It Covers
NTREIS is one of the largest MLSs in the country, spanning a wide band of North Texas including Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington and the surrounding counties. Listing in Arlington puts you in the same system as agents across the Metroplex.
Who Runs It
NTREIS is owned jointly by a group of North Texas REALTOR® associations rather than by any single board, ARBoR among them. That shared ownership is what keeps the coverage area continuous instead of fragmented city by city.
How You Get In
You subscribe to NTREIS through a shareholder association. Joining ARBoR is one route in, and a sensible one if Arlington, Mansfield or the Ellis County corridor is where you actually write business.

REALTOR® Standing & the Code of Ethics
ARBoR membership is what lets you use the REALTOR® trademark and operate under the NAR Code of Ethics — the standard that separates professional REALTORS® from the general pool of licensees. Membership flows through to Texas REALTORS® and NAR.
MLS Access
The practical reason most agents join. One membership puts your listings in front of every subscriber on NTREIS (North Texas Real Estate Information Systems) and gives you access to the shared inventory across its footprint.
Education & CE
The board runs education and continuing-education programming locally, tuned to the market you actually work rather than to a generic statewide syllabus.
Advocacy & a Local Voice
ARBoR represents local property owners and agents, with Texas REALTORS® and NAR behind it at state and national level.
What ARBoR Membership Looks Like for a TA Agent
Every Texas Ally agent joins a local REALTOR® board of their own choice — the brokerage cannot join for you, and different territories call for different boards. We are a member broker, which makes ARBoR available as one of your options. Here is how it works if you pick it.
If you choose ARBoR as your local board
- You apply to ARBoR directly under our brokerage sponsorship — that is what unlocks your ability to list and sell through NTREIS (North Texas Real Estate Information Systems).
- You pay board and MLS dues straight to the board. Texas Ally does not mark them up, administer them, or take a cut.
- Your commission arrangement with us is unchanged: 100% to you, a flat $99 a month, and flat transaction fees.
- If your business later moves to another part of Texas, you can change or add boards without changing brokerage — we are member brokers at the major Texas associations.

Texas Ally is a ARBoR member broker. If you are a licensed Texas agent and ARBoR is the right fit for your market, we will sponsor you there. If another board fits better, we can sponsor you there too — we are member brokers at all the major Texas associations. Either way, you keep 100% of your commissions. Can Texas Ally sponsor my ARBoR membership?
Yes. Texas Ally is a ARBoR member broker, which is the prerequisite that lets our agents join. Once you are sponsored at Texas Ally, you apply to ARBoR directly and pay dues to them. We do not mark up or administer those fees.
Do I have to join ARBoR specifically if I work with Texas Ally?
No. Every agent picks the local board that fits their market. ARBoR makes sense if you are working Dallas–Fort Worth. If you are mostly elsewhere in Texas, another board will serve you better — and we are member brokers at those too.
What MLS do I get with an ARBoR membership?
NTREIS — the shared North Texas MLS. ARBoR is one of the associations behind it, so an Arlington membership gives you the full North Texas footprint rather than just Tarrant County.
How much are ARBoR dues?
The board sets and collects its own dues, and they change year to year, so they are the only reliable source. Contact them directly on (817) 701-2490 or at arlingtonrealtor.com for current figures. Whatever they are, they are paid to the board — not to us.
ARBoR has two offices. Does that matter to me?
Only for convenience. The Arlington office covers Tarrant County and the Waxahachie office covers Ellis and Hill. It is one membership either way — you simply use whichever is closer.
