Laredo Association of REALTORS®
LAR is the REALTOR® association for Laredo and Webb County, and it runs its own MLS on the Paragon platform. Texas Ally is a member broker, which makes Laredo one of the local boards our agents can choose to join.
What LAR Is
The Laredo Association of REALTORS® is the local REALTOR® association for Laredo and the surrounding Webb County market. It is affiliated with Texas REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®, and it operates its own Multiple Listing Service.
Laredo is a genuinely distinct Texas market. It is the largest inland port on the US–Mexico border, and cross-border trade shapes both the residential and the commercial side of real estate here in ways that do not apply anywhere else in the state.
Because LAR runs an independent MLS rather than participating in one of the large shared systems, board membership and MLS access are effectively the same decision for agents working this market.

The Laredo MLS
LAR operates its own MLS on the Paragon platform. It is not part of a shared regional system, so for the Laredo market the board is the way in.
What It Covers
The Laredo MLS is focused on Laredo and Webb County. For agents whose business is genuinely local, that focus is an advantage — the data is clean and specific to the market rather than diluted across half the state.
Who Runs It
The Laredo Association of REALTORS® owns and operates it directly, on the Paragon MLS platform. There is no shareholder arrangement to navigate.

The practical reason most agents join. One membership puts your listings in front of every subscriber on The Laredo MLS and gives you access to the shared inventory across its footprint.
Education & CE
The board runs education and continuing-education programming locally, tuned to the market you actually work rather than to a generic statewide syllabus.
Advocacy & a Local Voice
LAR represents local property owners and agents, with Texas REALTORS® and NAR behind it at state and national level.
What LAR Membership Looks Like for a TA Agent
Every Texas Ally agent joins a local REALTOR® board of their own choice — the brokerage cannot join for you, and different territories call for different boards. We are a member broker, which makes LAR available as one of your options. Here is how it works if you pick it.
If you choose LAR as your local board
- You apply to LAR directly under our brokerage sponsorship — that is what unlocks your ability to list and sell through The Laredo MLS.
- You pay board and MLS dues straight to the board. Texas Ally does not mark them up, administer them, or take a cut.
- Your commission arrangement with us is unchanged: 100% to you, a flat $99 a month, and flat transaction fees.
- If your business later moves to another part of Texas, you can change or add boards without changing brokerage — we are member brokers at the major Texas associations.

Texas Ally is a LAR member broker. If you are a licensed Texas agent and LAR is the right fit for your market, we will sponsor you there. If another board fits better, we can sponsor you there too — we are member brokers at all the major Texas associations. Either way, you keep 100% of your commissions. Can Texas Ally sponsor my LAR membership?
Yes. Texas Ally is a LAR member broker, which is the prerequisite that lets our agents join. Once you are sponsored at Texas Ally, you apply to LAR directly and pay dues to them. We do not mark up or administer those fees.
Do I have to join LAR specifically if I work with Texas Ally?
No. Every agent picks the local board that fits their market. LAR makes sense if you are working Laredo. If you are mostly elsewhere in Texas, another board will serve you better — and we are member brokers at those too.
What MLS do I get with an LAR membership?
The Laredo MLS, which the association runs itself on the Paragon platform. It is independent of the large shared Texas systems, so LAR membership is the route to listing access in this market.
How much are LAR dues?
The board sets and collects its own dues, and they change year to year, so they are the only reliable source. Contact them directly on (956) 712-4400 or at laredorealtors.org for current figures. Whatever they are, they are paid to the board — not to us.
I work Laredo and San Antonio. Can I do both?
Yes, but they are different MLSs, so you would hold both memberships and pay each separately. Texas Ally is a member broker at both, so your brokerage does not change either way.
